About Patty Mohlke and Her Photography
People walking by think I am crazy. I don't care - they haven't seen what I see in my camera.
I have over 30 years experience in capturing beauty in photographs. I started out with Canon AE-1s, and now use both Canon and Olympus digital cameras. I will get down on the ground to photograph a beautiful flower or the color of a rock or small fern. People walking by think I am crazy. I don't care - they haven't seen what I see in my camera. I may have hung off the edge of trees or cliffs to get the right "shot". It works. The photographs are worth it.
I grew up knowing I wanted to take photographs. This world is full of beauty that begs to be captured in print. That is what I do. I have used Canon AE-1s in the past and now use digital media through both Canon and Olympus, but I stay true to the photograph that is taken and do not manipulate the images. What you see is what I saw.
The reason I offer the photographs "raw" is because I don't presume to know how you want to decorate your own home or office. If I mat or frame a photograph I would be choosing something for you that might not be your personal color scheme. You choose that when you take it in to be framed. That's a personal choice, as is your choice of photos in the first place.
I'd like to share the beauty I have seen with you. The current photographs were taken in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Florida and Louisiana. I travel frequently, so check back often as I add to the portfolio. The scenery changes!
